EXPERIMENT 3 : Pneumatic Circuit Design (Pure Pneumatic)
1.0 LEARNING OUTCOMES:
At the end of this experiment, the student should be able to;
1.1 Understand pneumatic working system,
1.2 Assemble a simple pneumatic circuit
2.0 EQUIPMENT / APPARATUS :
2.1 Double acting cylinder
2.2 Dcv 3/2 with push button and spring return (as switch)
2.3 Pneumatic hose
2.4 Dcv 5/2 with double pneumatic pilot and manual override
3.0 SAFETY AND HEALTH :
3.1 All pneumatic hose must be fit properly
3.2 Pressure do not exceed 6 bar
4.0 THEORY
4.1 Begin with circuit sequence diagram, for example steps given are
A+, B+, A-, B-
A+ : Represent cylinder A extract
A - : Represent cylinder A retract
B+ : Represent cylinder B extract
B - : Represent cylinder B retract
a0, a1 : Limit switch for cylinder A
b0, b1 : Limit switch for cylinder B
